Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

BBQ Sauce

  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Spicy Mayo

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha adjust to taste

Garnish

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp garlic powder in a bowl. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Bake meatballs on the sheet for 15-18 minutes until cooked and lightly browned.
  • In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, hoisin, rice vinegar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, sesame oil, and 1 tsp garlic powder. Simmer 3-5 minutes until thick.
  • Toss baked meatballs in the BBQ sauce until coated.
  • Mix mayonnaise and sriracha in a bowl for spicy mayo. Adjust heat to taste.
  • Spread spicy mayo on a plate, top with BBQ Meatballs, and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil meatballs for 2 minutes after baking.
