1

sugar
1
teaspoon
salt
1
tablespoon
active dry yeast
0.75
cup
warm water
about 110°F
2
tablespoons
olive oil
1
teaspoon
garlic powder or dried herbs
optional, for flavor
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and optional garlic powder or herbs. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Dust a clean surface with flour and knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a ball, then flatten slightly into a 4-inch disc. Place on a greased baking sheet.
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Let the rolls rest for 5 minutes while the oven heats, then bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Let the rolls cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and fill with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For best results, use fresh yeast and check that your water is at 110°F to activate it properly.
